In 2022 the format of the Mile Swim was changed to a Mile Relay. The Mile Relay will be held in Dedham. Six girls and six boys of any age from each Summer Suburban Swim League Team who have participated in 3 swim meets by the date of the Mile Swim may participate. 

Medals are awarded to each individual in the relay finishing first, second, and third place. All other swimmers will receive a ribbon. 

Trophies are awarded to the girls' and the boy’s' teams having the lowest scores.
